COSPLAY — LET’S NOT ALL DIE OF BOREDOM
Saving the world is all very well, but there’s no reason we have to dress like we’re attending a committee meeting while we do it.
This is my little experiment in Scottish cyberpunk cosplay — part Highland scavenger, part desert wanderer, part monk, part raver, with the occasional splash of reggae and absolutely no requirement to make complete sense.
Old tweed. Tartan. Kilts. Boots. Battered leather. Homemade armour. Wire-mesh desert glasses. Found objects. Futuristic bits and pieces. Things that look as though they might have survived the collapse of civilisation — preferably with a distinctly Scottish flavour.
There are no official costumes and no uniform. Make your own character. Spend £500 or spend nothing. Raid a charity shop. Adapt what you already own. Make something ridiculous in the shed.
The point isn't to escape reality.
It's to make reality a bit more interesting.
Be kind. Be creative. Don’t take yourself too seriously. And let’s not all die of boredom.
