 Why I Made These Cards

I first started exploring spirituality as a teenager. Since then, certain ideas have stayed with me — ideas about compassion, forgiveness, instinct, humility, faith, acceptance and our responsibility to one another.

I’ve encountered them in different places and different forms: religion, philosophy, art, conversations, difficult experiences and ordinary life. I don’t claim to have invented these ideas, and I certainly don’t claim to have all the answers. They are simply thoughts that resonated with me and kept resurfacing.

I made these cards as a way of collecting them.

Some are spiritual. Some are practical. Some are serious, and some have a bit of humour. A few challenge the way we treat ourselves or other people. Together, they are less a set of teachings than a record of the ideas I’ve found worth holding onto.

You don’t have to agree with every card. In fact, I’d rather they made you think.

Take the ones that mean something to you. Question the others. And perhaps make your own.
